Each person is a unique individual and is capable of responsible and rational choices, and has great potential for desired change. The relationship between the therapist and the client is built on trust and the hope-filled possibility of change as determined by the client. The therapist acts as a guide, enabling the client to discover and map the final objective. Each person lives their life in some form of interconnectedness with others. Small changes in the client’s life may have larger implications within his or her own system, which must be taken into account in the counseling process.
